Dear NYTimes.com interactive/multimedia team,
We really enjoy your interactive features, but why don't you actually include the pixel width and height in your flash embed code so that web citizens can link to the content in a way that preserves the intended resolution.
It's just two lines in your js code ...
+ "WIDTH=100% "
+ "HEIGHT=100% "
I know I could just write a pop-up window in js to the exact dimensions, but I'm only one person, and I've seen this piece linked 4 times without the correct pop-up dimensions. Seems like a change on your end would make more sense.
Just my two cents.
